FRIDAY
I woke up around 6:30... I've been waking frequently at night and then up earlier than needed.
Amelia woke at 6:45. Yikes. She watched cartoons while I showered. Luca was up at 7.
Cheerios + raisins for Amelia. 1 pancake and 2 french toast sticks for Luca. Megan commented on his crazy energy level this morning, so maybe those are too much for him... haha.
Cramming them in:
Crazy bedhead:
Luca was immediately devastated by the "canny"... the vitamin was not being presented to him fast enough:
Watching, waiting... for the "canny" sweetness:
Amelia had to make faces at him to get him to stand by her:
... and he tackled instead:
Contemplating eating a piece of Mama's biscotti:
It was like 60 degrees here today (and the next 2 days), and silly Amelia insisted on wearing a halter-top dress. Her compromise was a sweatshirt and boots:
I dropped them off at Megan's around 7:55... she was ready for us.
Had lunch with Amy at Jason's Deli at Polaris.
Picked up the kiddos around 5. Megan was immediately freaking out over how I might react to Luca's face.
He was happy as a clam, running around, so no worries from me!
Would NOT let go of this hula hoop:
Showing off the wounds (the mark kept getting darker as the night went on...):
Amelia's awesome (not really) jump-roping skills:
Came home and started dinner. Video chat time with Daddy.
Kids ate chicken nuggets and carrots (cooked for L, raw for A). I had a sandwich roll with some buffalo chicken in it. It was yummy.
Then it was time for bunny duty.
Our bunny charges - Flopsy and Mopsy:
Amelia insisted on wearing a pair of white dress-up gloves for the chore:
Chasing one of the bunnies... here....
... and there ...
... and everywhere...
Poor bunny. I got him without too much effort.
Luca making friends:
Bunny-speak:
Petting:
Not entirely as gently as bunny might like:
And then Amelia went off to play with Will and Olivia, and Luca got to his chores:
See? More red. I'm guessing it will be bruised tomorrow.
I texted Megan to let him know he was acting fine and she was still quite distraught. At least we know she likes them! :) She said they would work on covering up the scratchy part somehow - duct tape maybe.
Bedtime snack - hoarding the pretzels (has 3 in the right hand and biting all at once):
No, I won't share with Mommy!
Amelia's card that she made you....
The red is bleed-through from the other side, not blood on your body - haha:
Our family, in flower form:
Usual bedtime. Luca was crazy in the bath again. I need you to come back and tame that. He's resorted to standing and jumping back down into the water to see how high he can splash it...
Amelia and I got into it a little bit... but we worked it out and both apologized
We hope you have a GOOD and UNEVENTFUL day tomorrow! My dad arrives in the morning.
