Day 15

FRIDAY

Amelia got us all up at 6:30.  Luca and I weren't thrilled by that.

Luca nibbled a bit of breakfast, but Amelia stuck with water and even that came up (while we were on the phone with you).

Luca threw a fit, asking for something specific, but I couldn't understand him.  Finally decided he wanted an apple.  Amelia wanted one, too.

He carried around that apple all day... literally.  Nibble here and there, eating almost all of it until I finally threw it away around 7pm.

Pestering Mama through the holes to her office:

Luca napped from around 9-11.

RosiePebbles hung out with Beebs for a bit:

Neither ate much all day... maybe a bit of toast and water.

Amelia got sick again around 2.  I was on the phone at the time, and she just dealt with it and brought the bowl to me.  What a trooper...

Both were fairly active today and pestered me a lot

Luca napped again from about 2-4.

RosiePebbles and Beebs hung out again for a bit:

Luca woke from his nap pretty grumpy.

We had a visit from Megan (came for her paycheck).

Luca asked for a hot dog, but then proceeded to not eat it.  He insisted on milk.  I thinned it about 50% and he was so thankful to have it again.

Throwing a fit over something:

They ate pretzels, bread and animal crackers.

Luca and I were hanging out in the dining room, talking to you, looking at flights... while Amelia was supposedly watching Pocahontas.

We came in to this:

I'm not sure how long she slept, but I woke her to do bedtime.  We did it pretty quick and she complained the whole time, wanting to go to sleep.

They went to bed well.  RosiePebbles is sitting in my lap, purring, waiting for you...

Day 14

THURSDAY

Amelia woke up at around 6:45 and refused to go back to bed.  She ate some toast.

Luca woke up around 7:15.  He had milk and a couple of pancake bites.  I should have suspected what was coming next..... eruption.

Both kids stayed home.

Luca was a clinger, not really making it an easy work day:

Amelia mostly watched tv, but in some fancy garb:

She went outside briefly and found a rock she liked:

Luca napped in the morning from about 9-noon.

He woke up and had some water, and erupted again.

Neither kid ate much through the day... maybe a few bites of toast or crackers.

Luca napped again from about 2-5:15.

Amelia had an outfit change and went back outside:

This is what happened in the play room in just a half a day:

When I told her it was time to clean up, she threw a fit that she wouldn't have anything to play with.  We agreed she could keep 10 items out.  Of course that took at least 10 minutes to decide...

We video chatted with you.

Then we tried dinner.

Amelia had a few macaroni noodles and applesauce.

She insisted on milk, and then about 15 minutes later, barfed outside on the grass...

Luca was insistant on "ca-cake", but we didn't have any pancakes left.  I made him a few french toast sticks and he kept yelling for more..... until he'd had 5.

Finally we came back inside and watched some tv together.

Both kids really like her and she's so cool with being around them.  Bella would sooner kill us all than share my lap.

We were watching Mickey and they started counting flowers and it was really cute because Luca was trying as well:  "Flowie ... un ... teeoo ... free ... " and then gibberish right in time with them

Headed upstairs to bed:

The minute I put Luca in the tub, he peed.  I wonder how common of an occurance that is... haha.

Quick bath and book and bed.

Day 13

WEDNESDAY

Both kids had to be fetched from their beds... around 7:25.

Amelia had heart cereal + raisins.  She didn't eat much before saying that she didn't want any more because the "raisins taste funny".  I guess that should have been my first clue...

Luca had pancakes (1 1/2):

Off to Megan's...

Luca was mad at me about something:

Picked the nerds up early, after Amelia got sick.  She got sick about 3 times in an hour.

Looking for ants:

We came home and video-chatted with you for a bit.

Luca had noodles + butter, and mixed veggies for dinner.  Amelia skipped.

I had this lovely frozen meal from Trader Joe's.  It wasn't as nice as it looks:

Luca pestered me like this, as I tried to finish up my work:

We headed upstairs for bedtime.  They had their usual near-drowning fun.

Said goodnight and I came back down.

Day 12

TUESDAY

Luca got up around 7:15, and Amelia around 7:30.

Luca had applesauce and heart cereal.  Amelia had heart cereal + raisins.

Megan picked Amelia up around 8.

Luca putzed around all morning... watching a bit of tv... playing with his "carsies" and "baby":

He napped from around 9:30-12:30.

Ate a bit of rice and toast for lunch:

Napped again from about 2-4:30.

Woke up a bit grumpy (I had to wake him).  But it was time to go get Sissy!

We fetched Amelia and then drove to Marysville and back to fetch Pebbles/Rosie.

Amelia ran off to Will's house, after quickly saying hi to you.  You, Luca, Pebbles/Rosie and I video-chatted together.

Luca said he wanted a hot dog, but all he did was pour applesauce on it:

I took Pebbles/Rosie upstairs and gave her a bath.  When we came back down, I showed her the cat room and she got a snack:

She and Bella just growled at each other all night, but no cat fights  :)

Then Luca and I went outside for a bit:

We fed the bunnies, and played with the balls.

Then it was time for Amelia to come home:



We came back in and said goodnight to Pebbles/Rosie, who was hanging out in the fort:

Bedtime went okay... usual crazy and not listening.

I came back down and hung out with the new kitty, while Bella glared from the ottoman.

She really is a beautiful kitty.  Her most striking feature is her eyes.

I lost her for a while tonight, after she walked off when I was folding laundry.  Finally found her literally under my nose... under the chair!

I put her in the cat room when I went to bed.  I figured it's better for her to figure out how to jump over the gate from the inside, rather than not being able to access that room from the outside.

         PS --- She did it.... YAY...  She jumped out
